I bought this book because it was in my recommendations at the borders website. This this is definitely
original, but there are many long parts of the story that one will start to lose attention.
Empress is about a young lady raised in a poor and broken family. She constantly witnessed her mother
beaten and her siblings killed or sold to slavery by a father. One day her father decides to sell her to
slavery. Her new owners are very wealthy and name her Hekat. They give her clothes, food, beauty, and
knowledge of their god.
Armed with being betrayed and love from her new god, Hekat becomes a deadly warrior who vales to
become no man’s slave. She is given the power to smite people in the name of her god. Her blade it’s
self decides the fate of thousands
